1. Research status of all ceramic bearings
Ceramic bearings are divided into full ceramic bearings and hybrid ceramic bearings.
Let's first talk about the conclusion that the fatigue strength of hybrid ceramic bearings is better than that of steel ball bearings in practical applications. The experiment has verified that hybrid ceramic bearings have a longer lifespan advantage, and the heat resistance of ceramic materials is better than that of steel, which is less prone to expansion and transformation. Before the bearing is damaged, plastic deformation does not occur, and its failure form is direct fatigue peeling. Hybrid ceramic bearings also have certain self-lubricating properties and can operate normally without lubrication. The heat generated by hybrid ceramic bearings during operation is only 80% of that of steel ball bearings, and they do not generate excessive centrifugal force and gyroscopic torque during high-speed operation.
2. Current status of research on dynamic characteristics of bearings
When the preload on the bearing, as well as the bearing clearance, pressure distribution, and bearing structure change, the bearing will exhibit different dynamic characteristics. The surface roughness and waviness of the raceway, the surface waviness of the ball, and the number of balls have a crucial impact on the accuracy of the bearing.
